47 Prefectures, No Filter

Japan Journal

(日本語の要約は最後にあります)

Japan is often described as beautiful, polite, efficient, and somehow perfectly organized.

That sounds right.

But it also feels incomplete.

I have traveled across this country for work, moving from city to city, sometimes staying long enough to notice small details that do not appear in guidebooks. The quiet streets behind busy stations. The way people line up even when no one is watching. The local pride in something that outsiders might overlook.

Japan can be impressive.

It can also be slightly strange.

Not dramatic. Not loud. Just quietly, consistently… interesting.

This series is a journey through all 47 prefectures of Japan, starting from Fukuoka, where I live. Not because it is the most famous place, but because it is where I stand. From here, I will move slowly across the country, looking at geography, history, industry, culture, and the people who shape each region.

This is not a travel brochure.

It is simply one way of seeing Japan.

Or maybe it is just me.

(今回のお話を要約するとこのような内容になります)
